The Photographer


Jim Arnold is a leading Texas-based equine photographer. As a horse owner and lover, Arnold prides himself in being able to capture horses at the peak of their performance, revealing their personalities and athletic skills. Arnold's work appears in numerous equestrian publications, Including Quarter Horse News, and The Cutting Horse Chatter.

For the last seven years Arnold has been focusing on Texas Fasig-Tipton sales for Blood-Horse, Thoroughbred Times and The Texas Thoroughbred. His portraits include some of the leading sires of thoroughbred racing at their home farms.

During the last three years Arnold has been photographing the Western Bloodstock sales, including those at the Will Rogers Equestrian facility in Ft Worth and on location such as the EE Ranches Production Sales at the Whitesboro TX facility, Hillis Akin (Gainsville TX), the Windward Stud (Purcell, OK) full dispersal sales, and the W.T. Waggoner / King Ranch Texas Legends Production Sales at the White Face Cowcamp (Electra, TX). His photos are currently used in the Western Bloodstock advertisements in leading cutting horse publications as well as direct mail publications.

In addition to photography, Arnold is involved in informational and promotional website projects including that of Doc O Lena Twist, Going To The Doc and www.wimpskingbuck.com.

Arnold also owns and maintains AmericasCutter.com which features his cutting action photography. This website includes photos taken at both weekend and limited age events that he covers. It also has some photos from the NCHA produced National Shows in Ft Worth.
